We want to see your amazing costume creations!
 

PROCESS

  • Like and/or follow FanfaireNYC on a social media page of your choosing

    • Instagram: @FanfaireNYC

    • Read all the rules carefully.

  • Win a cash prizes! Show time is Saturday afternoon, June 11 at 1:30pm!

 

RULES

  • Individuals, pairs and groups are welcome!

  • Costumes from all genres (video game, comic book, anime, movies, television, etc.) and mash-ups are  acceptable. 

  • There is an entrant limit of 30 entries 

  • By entering the contest, the entrant allows FanfaireNYC and the High School of Art and Design to use images for promotional purposes.

  • All masks and costumes worn with the masks (if you choose to wear an accompanying costume) must be family friendly and adhere to FanfaireNYC’s regular dress code policies.

  • No entries may contain religious, political, insulting, or offensive statements. We utilize the following definition of offensive cosplays: cosplays that incite violence, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, transphobia, ageism, and bigotry. This includes race-facing (e.g. Blackface/Brownface) as well as costumes that replicate, or make light of historic or current international or national tragedies (this includes depictions of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19 in any way).

  • All entrants must be 10 and up by the submission deadline

  • FanfaireNYC staff are not eligible to compete in the competition.

  • FanfaireNYC contest coordinators reserve the right to make any changes to the contest rules and guidelines if the need arises.

 

DRESS CODE

  • No nudity. No costume is not a costume and will not be accepted.

  • No profane messages on signs or clothes.

  • NO WEAPONS
