Create a mascot for FanfaireNYC 2025!

If Art & Design and FanfaireNYC were a character, what would that look like? Think about the history of the school and its place in NYC art culture. Develop your character's personality and image to become the next FanfaireNYC mascot.

GIVE YOUR MASCOT A NAME:

​

• Give your character a name that captures the spirit of FanfaireNYC and Art & Design

• Make their name unique and exciting

CONTEST RULES:

​​

• Open to all High School of Art & Design students only

• Create an original character inspired by FanfaireNYC and A&D. The mascot submissions must be unique designs and concepts.

• Check out the event website - https://www.fanfairenyc.com/ and Instagram account @fanfairenyc to learn more about the event.

• The mascot can be human, animal, or creature. No words on the image.

• The file must be 8" x 8" with all poses on one image. Your entry must include 3 different mascot poses: vertical, horizontal, and a headshot. Two additional poses can be included for up to 5 poses total contained in a single file.

• The image must be in PNG or JPEG format, 300 dpi. The size of the image should not exceed 3MB. Do not send files as .psd, .ai, .procreate, or other editing program file formats.

• The mascot should be set on a white background so it can be silhouetted easily and applied to different background colors.

• You will be asked to provide outline drawings of your poses.

• You may be asked to draw additional poses and provide vector graphics of your character.

• If your design is chosen, you will need to sign a waiver granting the Art & Design PTA the rights to use it as part of FanfaireNYC.

• Please upload all mascot entries to 2026 Mascot Contest by 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Each student can send up to 5 different mascot entries.

• REMEMBER: if you win the contest you will be asked to provide additional images, files, and graphics.

IMAGE SUBMISSION GUIDELINE:

​

• One file 8" x 8" with all poses on one image. Maximum file size: 3MB.

• Minimum 3 poses; maximum 5 poses.

• Required poses: vertical, horizontal, and head, plus up to 2 other poses of your choice.

• Upload a PNG or JPG of the image

• Log into your nycstudents.net account to submit your mascot now!

• All entries will receive work based learning hours!

• Winning Mascot Designer will receive a FanfaireNYC t-shirt with your mascot on it!

• Winning mascot will appear on FanfaireNYC 2026 materials across ALL platforms (print, digital, social media)!
