RULES

About:

This contest is a search to find the best piece of art that is inspired by the motion picture, Annihilation. Winner of this competition gets tickets, cool swag and bragging rights. 

Eligibility:

Any ticket holding attendant or exhibitor. If you’re under the age of 18 then a letter with written permission allowing you to participate. Sorry. No guests are allowed to participate.

 

The Work Must Be Original:

You must be the creator of the art and image file you or your approved representative submit to the competition. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else's copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another's copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work, to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.

We reserve the right to request proof that your entry is your original artwork created solely by you. Non-compliance to this rule will be a disqualification of your entry.

Entry Fees:

You must either have a booth at the show or tickets for entry.

Copyright:

The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception.

 

Non-exclusive Permissions:

By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our Fanfaire and PTA website, social media pages, newsletters, and in the marketing of the art competitions to the general public, as well as for Allied Integrated Marketing. Artworks will not be used for any other purpose than that which is stated here.

 

All winning entries will be displayed on the Fanfaire website and social media. Each entry becomes part of the public, historical / archival online contest catalog. It can be removed at a later date upon request.

 

File Sizes and Formats:

You must be present in order to win. Entries must be in no later than Sunday at 11:00am. Winner will be announced Sunday, February 25th at 1:00pm. You must be present to collect your prize.
 

The Entry Process:

  • Only one entry per person.
  • Make sure you have your ticket, and bring your art piece to the Sky Gallery.​

  • A form will be there for you to fill out.

  • Your art piece must be no larger than 24” x 24”. No digital entries accepted - you’ll have to print it out.

  • If you’re under 18 please have a letter from your parents stating they are allowing you to participate. Letter should have (a) parent’s name and contact information, and (b) child(ren)’s name(s) and age.
     

Judging Criteria:​

  • Does the submitted artwork fit the theme of the competition?

  • Is there a creative interpretation of the subject/ theme?

  • Is the originality of the work interesting?

  • Is there overall quality and command of the medium being used?

  • Does the work impact the viewer in relationship to the theme?

  • Does the work stand on its own as a complete and outstanding creative image?

  • The composition and design of the work is also a judging criteria.

 

Note: The quality of the images submitted will also play a role in the judging process. It is best if the images submitted are no smaller than 8.5”x11”.

 

Submission Deadlines:

Artworks may be submitted up until 11:00am Sunday, February 25th.

 

Prizes:

A gift basket from Paramount Pictures and Allied Integrated Marketing which includes:

  • Four (4) tickets to see Annihilation in Theaters (NYC only)

  • One 27” x 40” poster

  • Two t-shirts

  • Two water bottles

  • Annihilation First Aide Kit
